On Tuesday May 19, photojournalist Lionel Delevingne will visit to discuss his book To the Village Square: From Montague to Fukushima, 1975 – 2014, on the history of anti-nuclear activism. He will be joined by activist Anna Gyorgy, who wrote the book's introduction. Learn more here...
Watercolors added to PortsmouthExhibits.org

Views of Portsmouth and Wildflowers by Sarah Haven Foster have been added to the Portsmouth Public Library Digital Archive and are now available on PortsmouthExhibits.org. Sarah Haven Foster (1827-1900) lived and painted in Portsmouth, in the surrounding area, and abroad. A collection of watercolors was gifted to the Library by her sister in 1901, and has received conservation and preservation care through grants from the Rosamond Thaxter Foundation and the New Hampshire Conservation License Plate Program.
