Economic Development Portsmouth

The function of Economic Development in the City of Portsmouth is carried out cooperatively by the Economic Development Commission (EDC), the City Manager and the Economic Development Coordinator. The EDC's function is to develop economic development policies, goals and objectives as an advisory commission to the Portsmouth City Council. EDC members include the City Manager, the Mayor and residents who represent the local business community.

    Seacoast NH Startup Competition
    It is time again to see some bright ideas!  We are looking for innovative startup businesses and would-be entrepreneurs to apply – application is online:   Deadline for applications is October 9th and the finalists will be announced October 23rd.  The finalists will compete before a live audience and panel of esteemed judges is Thursday, November 5th at Frisbie Memorial Hospital Conference Center, 5:30 PM – finalists are competing for $20,000 cash and services.
