Reference:    Armed Robbery Arrest

On February 25th 2009 the Portsmouth Police Department received a complaint from a victim that he was robbed at gun point by a male suspect.  The robbery occurred the night before in a parking lot of a local apartment complex.   The victim was with two friends at the time of the incident.  It was reported that the suspect put a handgun into the neck of the victim and demanded cash and a diamond ring.   The suspect then fled on foot out of the area.  There were no injuries reported. 

A collaboration between the Portsmouth Patrol division and the Portsmouth Detective division lead to the arrest of :

                                                Portsmouth NH

Young is charged with two counts of Criminal Threatening with a deadly weapon and one count of Armed Robbery.   Young was arrested at approximately 7:30 pm on February 25th 2009 without incident.  A handgun was seized as a result of this arrest.   Bail was set at $ 50,000.00 Cash, and Mr. Young will appear in Court on Thursday February 26th.
