Reference: President Obama’s Visit to the City of Portsmouth
The President of the United States has wrapped up his visit to the City of Portsmouth. The Portsmouth Police Department's primary concern for today's event was the safe passage of the President and the safety of the citizens as well as the safety of those who came to voice their opinion on site and inside the Town Hall event.
The Portsmouth Police Department estimated the outside crowd to be in the area of 1500 spirited individuals. No injuries were reported during this event and 1 arrest was made. Another press release will be issued later this evening in regards to that arrest.
The Portsmouth Police Department would like to thank those citizens that may have been disrupted by the event to include those who were caught in traffic or otherwise delayed to getting to their homes.
