Reference: Armed Robbery
The Portsmouth Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance with the investigation of an armed robbery which occurred at approximately 8:00 P.M. at the Xin-Ping Chinese Restaurant located at 2800 Lafayette Rd. During the course of the Robbery a white male with a bald head, wearing black pants and a blue sweatshirt, approximately 20 to 30 years of age entered the restaurant with a black handgun and demanded money. The suspect then fled on foot down Lafayette Road. There were no injuries caused by the Robbery. A track by Officer Scott Pearl and K-9 Wess resulted in the recovery of the hand gun and the suspect’s sweatshirt.
Mutual assistance was provided by Greenland Police Department, Rye Police Department, Newington Police Department and the New Hampshire State Police, who also responded with a K-9.
