Reference: Burglary arrest
Date of Release: February 9, 2007
On Friday, February 9, 2007 at approximately 4:20 AM, officers from the Portsmouth Police Department responded to a report from a citizen of a burglary in process that was occurring at the Seacoast Variety Store located at 1350 Woodbury Avenue in Portsmouth.
As police units were responding, three suspects fled the scene in a vehicle. The vehicle was quickly located by Officer Rochelle Jones on Woodbury Avenue, and a brief pursuit ensued. The vehicle stopped at Gosling Road, where all three suspects fled on foot.
With the assistance of K-9 units from the New Hampshire State Police and the Essex County (Massachusetts) Sheriff’s Department, officers located one of the suspects hiding inside a vehicle that he had just broken into at a hotel located at Pease. He was arrested and identified as:

Mr. Power was processed at the Portsmouth Police Department and arraigned at the Portsmouth District Court for the following criminal charges:
Burglary (Felony)
Criminal Mischief (Misdemeanor)
Criminal Trespass (Misdemeanor)
Mr. Power was held on $5,000 cash and $5,000 personal recognizance bail. His next court date is a probable cause hearing in Portsmouth District Court on February 15, 2007 at 1:00 PM.
The crime scene of the burglary was processed by detectives, and the suspect vehicle was also seized as evidence for processing. At this time, the two other suspects of the burglary are still at large.
