Reference: St. Patrick’s Day DUI Patrols
Date of Release: March 14, 2005
On St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, 2005, the Portsmouth Police Department will be deploying four additional patrol units in the field for the purpose of intensified DUI enforcement. In addition, Portsmouth officers will join forces with the NH Liquor Commission to monitor alcohol violations and to check ID’s to prevent underage drinking and over serving in bars.
We urge patrons of the many bars and restaurants in our city to celebrate responsibly and to use a designated driver or take a cab.
If you drink and drive, be assured that we will make every effort to find and arrest you in order to keep the roadways safe for others and to prevent you from making a fatal mistake.
