Reference: Robbery arrests

On Saturday, April 1st, 2006 at approximately 3:45 PM, the Portsmouth Police Department arrested the following individuals at the Motel 6 located at 3 Gosling Road in Portsmouth:

All three were arrested for Conspiracy to Commit Robbery, contrary to NH RSA 629:3 (Felony).
These arrests are the result of an investigation by the Portsmouth Police Departments Bureau of Investigative Services. It is alleged that the three suspects lured a victim via the Internet to the motel for sex, and instead robbed him and obtained personal belongings. The victim then fled from the motel without injury. It is alleged that the suspects then contacted the victim again via the Internet and threatened him if he did not give them money. Instead of meeting them, the victim reported this to the Portsmouth Police Department.
As a result of an Internet investigation, an undercover Portsmouth Police Detective at the motel met the suspects, and they were subsequently arrested. A search warrant was also executed at the motel room where the three arrestees had been staying. Evidence of this crime as well as other crimes were seized.
All three arrestees were processed at the Portsmouth Police Department, held on no bail and transported to the Rockingham County Jail. They are scheduled for arraignment at the Portsmouth District Court on Monday, April 3rd at 8:30 AM.
This case is still under investigation, and more criminal charges are anticipated at a later date as evidence is processed.
