Early Morning Burglary of Poco Diablo’s Restaurant, 37 Bow Street, Portsmouth, NH

Reference: Early Morning Burglary of Poco Diablo’s Restaurant, 37 Bow Street, Portsmouth, NH

At 12:13am on June 13th, the Portsmouth Police Department responded to a residents call into police dispatch reference to seeing a person hiding bottles of alcohol under some bushes in the area of Ceres Street near Bow Street. This same person was also observed to be running back and forth to the area of the closed outside bars of the Olde Ferry Landing and Poco Diablo’s, carrying bottles, hiding them under a bush and was later seen to be placing them into a waiting car.

Sgt. Stephen DuBois, who was close by on routine patrol arrived just in time to see a person get into this car described by the witness. Sgt. DuBois subsequently pulled this car over and found the car to contain many bottles of hard alcohol similar to ones used in the local bars. The Downtown Walking Beat Officer Laura Purslow arrived to find that the outside bar of Poco Diablo’s has been broken into and that bottles of hard liquor had been stolen. This was later confirmed by the owner.

As a result of this investigation the following were found in the car and arrested. Shaun Quitugua

Charge: Accomplice to Burglary
Bail set at $5,000 Personal Recognizance with a court date of June 27th, 2005 at Portsmouth District Court

and

Patrick Quitugua
Age 22 years
Dover NH
Charge:
Burglary
Bail set at $500 cash and $5,000 Personal Recognizance with a court date of June 27th, 2005 at Portsmouth District Court
