Reference: Parking Garage Felony Arrest

At approximately 1:11 AM on 7-24-05 Portsmouth Police Patrol Officers responded to a large group of disorderly people near the Hanover Street exit to the Parking Garage. A male had been run over and was pinned under a vehicle. The vehicle had also struck another adult (who refused medical treatment). A third adult narrowly missed being struck by the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle, subsequently identified as Jechlan Waworuntu (6-17-81 of Holt Rd. in Epping NH), fled the garage. Waworuntu was arrested a short time later. Waworuntu is charged with three counts of (felony) Reckless Conduct, one count of Conduct After and Accident and Aggravated DUI. He is being held on $15,000 dollars cash bail and will be arraigned on 7-25-05 at the Portsmouth District Court.
The male that was pinned under the car that Waworuntu was driving was transported to the Portsmouth Hospital. His injuries are serious but are not life threatening.
Albert Mamesah (5-15-83) of 29 Baker St. in Dover and Golbert Maramis (6-1-79) of 21 Crown Point in Dover were also arrested and charged with Resisting Arrest or Detention for their conduct at the parking garage. They were released on personal recognizance.
