The Portsmouth and Kittery Police Departments are asking for the public’s assistance in finding the following individual:
Michael Brennan
Date of birth 05/15/42
No confirmed address
Mr. Brennan is currently wanted for a warrant from the York County Superior Court in Maine for Operating After Suspension, Operating Under the Influence and Failure to Pay Fines.
Mr. Brennan was seen as recently as yesterday in the Panaway Manor section of Portsmouth in a 1995 Dodge Caravan, color blue, bearing New York registration CWK8063. With him was a woman identified as Janice Burke, date of birth 09/14/56.
Ms. Burke is not wanted for any criminal charges at this time, and there are currently no criminal charges pending from Portsmouth for Mr. Brennan.
The Portsmouth Police Department is currently investigating reports that a man similar in description to Mr. Brennan has been approaching children in the Panaway Manor section of the city and asking them to help find a lost puppy. Parents are urged to remind their children about the dangers of talking to strangers.
Anyone with any information is asked to call the Portsmouth Bureau of Investigative Services at 436-2511, or Det. Sgt. Ron Avery at the Kittery Police Department at 1-207-439-1638. Callers can also remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 431-1199 or 1-207-439-1199. Any information received that leads to an arrest may result in a monetary reward.
