Reference: Aggravated Felonious Sexual Assault arrest
Date of Release: October 31st, 2006
On Monday, October 30th, 2006, the Portsmouth Police Department arrested the following individual:
Mark J. Breda
Date of birth 05/07/71
No fixed address
Mr. Breda was taken into custody by the Portsmouth Police Department at the York County Jail in Alfred, Maine. Mr. Breda had been located in Old Orchard Beach, Maine by the U.S. Marshalls, and held on a Portsmouth arrest warrant at the York County Jail for the following criminal charges:
Aggravated Felonious Sexual Assault (Class a Felony)
Witness Tampering (Class B Felony)
False Imprisonment (Class A Misdemeanor).
As well as an electronic bench warrant for:
Unauthorized Use of a Propelled Vehicle (Class A Misdemeanor).
This arrest warrant was the result of an investigation by the Portsmouth Police Department’s Bureau of Investigative Services. It is alleged that Mr. Breda sexually assaulted an adult female victim in May on Peirce Island in Portsmouth.
Mr. Breda was transported to the Portsmouth Police Department where he was processed and is scheduled to be arraigned in Portsmouth District Court today.
