Reference: Arrests from C & J Trailways crimes

The following three individuals were arrested on today's date by the Portsmouth Police Department for crimes that were committed at the C & J Trailways in Portsmouth on November 5th, 2006:

Charges: Criminal Mischief (Felony), Accomplice to Theft by Unauthorized Taking (Misdemeanor). Currently held on $1,000 cash bail.

Christy D. Wanager

Charges: Theft of a Motor Vehicle (Felony), Theft by Unauthorized Taking (Misdemeanor). Currently held on $2,500 cash bail.

David J. Wilson

Charges: Criminal Mischief (Felony), Accomplice to Theft of a Motor Vehicle (Felony), Theft by Unauthorized Taking (Misdemeanor). Currently held on $2,000 cash bail.

All three suspects were arrested as a result of an investigation that began in the early morning hours of November 5th, when numerous vehicles that were parked at the C & J Trailways Park and Ride facility, located at 185 Grafton Drive in Portsmouth, were vandalized. Additionally, items were stolen from inside many vehicles, and one vehicle was stolen from the lot.

The stolen vehicle was later recovered in Maine by the Berwick Police Department. Evidence located in the recovered vehicle, as well as evidence retrieved from the crime scene aided detectives in the identification of the suspects. The Berwick, Dover and Somersworth Police Departments assisted the Portsmouth Police Department in this investigation.

All three arrestees are currently being held on cash bail, and it is anticipated that they will all be arraigned in the morning at Portsmouth District Court.
