On Sunday, November 25th, 2007 at 1:10 PM, the following individual turned himself in to the Portsmouth Police Department as a result of an arrest warrant:
Anthony Cook
Date of birth 12/30/89
6 Jackson Street, Apt. B
Rochester, N.H.
Mr. Cook has been charged with:
2 counts of Burglary (both class A Felonies),
1 count of Receiving Stolen Property (class A Felony).
These criminal charges stem from an investigation that began on February 9th, 2007, involving a burglary at the Seacoast Variety Store located at 1350 Woodbury Avenue in Portsmouth
It is alleged that Mr. Cook was not only involved in the Seacoast Variety Store burglary, but also an additional burglary at Joe’s New York Pizza located at 2698 Lafayette Road in Portsmouth that same night. Both burglary scenes were processed for evidence that night by detectives, as well as the suspect’s vehicle that was also seized. Search warrants were subsequently conducted, DNA evidence was collected and multiple follow-up interviews were also conducted. The New Hampshire State Police Forensic Laboratory in Concord was instrumental in assisting with these investigations.
Mr. Cook was processed at the Portsmouth Police Department and released on $5,000 personal recognizance bail. He is scheduled to be arraigned on January 7th, 2008 at 8:30 AM.
