Detective Corey MacDonald of the Portsmouth Police Department was honored at the recent New Hampshire State Explorer Awards Banquet held at the New Hampshire Police Standards and Training Academy in Concord, NH.
The awards ceremony was hosted by the Boy Scouts of America Explorer Division, Daniel Webster Council. Detective MacDonald was the recipient of three awards,
The Council Leadership Award, The District Award of Merit and the Dedicated Service Award.
Detective MacDonald, once a Portsmouth Police Explorer himself, was hired by the Portsmouth Police Department in October of 1999 and has dedicated much of his career to the youth in our community. As Executive Advisor of the Portsmouth Explorer Post, Detective MacDonald has been a role model for many young men and women. His leadership and dedication was formally recognized in Concord at this annual ceremony where other leaders and cadets were also honored for their service and achievements with the State’s many Explorer programs.
