Project # 11: Market Street & I 95 Exit 7 intersection project

Project Update: Work will resume on Market St starting Sunday night, May 19th at 7PM.  Crews will begin the preparation for the final pavement overlay by milling out the joints at all of the ends of the project.  Work will resume during the daytime as well as signs, loaming of the disturbed areas and general cleanup of the site begins.  Final paving is scheduled during the evening sometime the week of May 27th with final pavement markings occurring right after.  Questions can be sent to Dave Desfosses, Project Manager 766-1411.

The project increases the width of Market Street in order to allow for double left turn lanes for both receiving traffic from the I95 off ramp and for traffic going onto the I95 on ramp. This section of Market Street will be repaved completing the final section of Market Street resurfacing. The three sets of traffic signals will be coordinated in order to establish free flow of traffic. This project is State funded with a local match.
