What is the City doing about Storm Water Pollution?

  • Upgrade the City's water infrastructure

  • Implementing Best Management Practices to minimize pollutants from entering the storm water sewer system, such as cleaning the storm drains of debris

  • In 2007, the City passed an ordinance to provide for the health, safety, and general welfare of the citizens of the City of Portsmouth; provide additional protection to local natural resources; and facilitate municipal compliance with federal and state environmental laws and regulations
