Grade Two Book Reviews

The second graders spent some time writing in response to reading as they completed their Unit of Study on Book Reviews. Book reviews require students to do work as readers as well as writers as they think about informing potential readers about books they may want to read. They learned how to write summaries, providing the most important parts of the story without giving away the ending. They wrote about their favorite parts with reasoning about why it's their favorite part, connections they have to the book, the author's message and who they would recommend the book to. We hope you enjoy reading their book reviews. You may even want to read these fabulous books afterwards.
