Bridge Street area reconstruction concluding this week

Portions of Bridge Street, spanning Hill Street and Deer Street as well as the intersection of Deer and Bridge Streets, have been closed since December in order to complete sewer and utility work associated with the construction of the Foundry Place parking garage.

Hill Street to Deer Street has now reopened. Final paving will occur on the intersection of Deer and Bridge Streets on Tuesday or Wednesday evening, weather permitting; that area will reopen to the public once paving is complete.

The ongoing, severe winter weather conditions, along with the complexity of underground utilities in this area, had led to delays of this area’s reconstruction, and the City is grateful to everyone’s patience.
