Portion of Woodbury Avenue open to local traffic only October 24th to 26th
October 24, 2018
As part of the Maplewood Avenue reconstruction project, there will be associated sewer work which will require closing Woodbury Avenue from its intersection with Market Street to its intersection with the Route 1 Bypass. This closure is anticipated to begin Wednesday, October 24th and last through Friday, October 26th. The detour route will utilize Market Street, the Albacore Connector, and the Route 1 Bypass (shown below).
The Woodbury Avenue closure will only be in effect during the contractor’s work hours which are weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Residents, deliveries, school buses, emergency vehicles, etc. will be allowed to access the area, but through traffic will not be permitted in order to facilitate the construction operations. Apart from these hours, the roadway will be open to through traffic.
While Woodbury Avenue is closed, Maplewood Avenue will reopen to one lane of alternating traffic. Once the Woodbury Avenue work is wrapped up, Maplewood Avenue will be closed again between Edmond Avenue and Woodbury Avenue, starting Monday, October 29th.
