March 11th meeting to discuss Cate Street connector road and Bartlett Street traffic calming measures
March 11, 2019
Portsmouth’s Planning and Public Works Departments will be hosting a neighborhood listening session at the New Franklin School Library on Monday, March 11th at 6:30 p.m. to discuss the proposed Cate Street Connector Road to Route 1 Bypass, as well as next steps on the traffic calming initiatives requested for the Bartlett Street area.
The Cate Street connector project will provide direct access from Bartlett Street at the Railroad Bridge to Route 1 Bypass at Borthwick Avenue traffic signal. City staff will share how providing this connector will eliminate an existing truck route and reduce through traffic in the Creek Neighborhood, and will also be reporting back on the status of a neighborhood request for traffic calming for the Bartlett Street neighborhood north of Cate Street.
