The Portsmouth Planning Department will host a public informational meeting on Thursday, July 9 at 6pm over Zoom, to present the current design of a new park and trail segment of the North Mill Pond Greenway along the north end of the North Mill Pond. Please follow the link listed on the meeting announcement to register for this meeting if you are interested in participating. This meeting will be held remotely via the Zoom meeting platform.
Specifically the meeting will be focused on the proposed multi-use path extending from Market Street south to Maplewood Avenue and the new public park which will be located behind 3S Artspace and the AC Hotel. The design team will present a design based on the conceptual design for the trail which was completed in 2019. Public input is being requested to help finalize the design before permitting for the project begins.
The design team of Halvorson Tighe & Bond Studio and DeRosa Environmental Consulting will present the latest design concept, provide information about the natural resources at the site and restoration opportunities planned for the proposed community park and trail. Additionally, images and plans will be presented at the meeting to provide examples of the proposed work along with images of similar design efforts and outcomes.
