City Parking & Traffic Safety Committee Holds a Public Meeting on NHDOT Sound Barrier Project, Woodbury Avenue Traffic Calming, and Middle- Miller-Summer Streets Intersection
November 27, 2023
The City’s Parking & Traffic Safety (PTS) Committee is holding a public information meeting on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at 6 pm in Council Chambers at City Hall. Just prior to the meeting, at 5:30 pm in Council Chambers, the New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) is offering an informal opportunity for the public to review the I-95 Sound Barrier Project plans. The sound barrier project is expected to start in Spring 2024 and is part of the NHDOT Ten Year Plan.
Representatives from NHDOT will make a formal presentation on the Sound Barriers at PTS. The agenda also includes a presentation by Sebago Technics, Inc. outlining proposed options for improving the intersection of Middle Street, Miller Avenue, and Summer Street. The committee will vote to select its preferred alternative for construction on this project. The committee will also vote to approve a revised speed cushion plan for Woodbury Avenue. That plan results from a public meeting with Woodbury Avenue neighborhood residents following a pilot project using temporary speed cushions this summer.
