Sewer System Field Work Begins May 8, 2017

Work related to the City’s sewer system evaluation study will begin on May 8, 2017 and is expected to continue through June 2017. This work will be used to identify areas of the City where groundwater is entering the City’s sewer collection system.

The work will include nighttime flow measurements in the sewer system. This work will begin on May 8, 2017 and will be performed Monday through Thursday nights from midnight through 6 a.m. The City’s Department of Public Works will be with a subcontractor, Flow Assessment Services LLC, and will access sewer manholes as part of the work. Additional work will include inspection of the sewers and will begin the week of May 22, 2017. This work be performed in the daytime Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. through 4 p.m. Crews from the City’s subcontractor, Ted Berry Company, will access sewer manholes as part of the work. Temporary traffic impacts may occur during these activities.
