Free, reusable bags available for Portsmouth residents at Library and Senior Center

The City has made available several hundred reusable bags at the Library and Senior Center that residents can pick up and take home free of charge. The Sustainability and Recycling departments worked in conjunction to research a quality bag for residents that would not only encourage reuse, but also echoed the City’s environmental values; therefore, these bags have been made from 100% recycled plastic materials.

One-way traffic on Vaughan Street continuing until end of September

Beginning on Monday, February 11th, traffic flow on Vaughan Street will change to one way heading in the direction of Raynes Avenue and Maplewood Avenue. This one-way traffic will continue until the end of September due to the construction of the AC Hotel at 299 Vaughan Street adjacent to 3S Artspace. Opportunities for winter community participation
