Health Sciences
Students interested in pursuing medical career pathways, such as: nursing, physician, dental, EMT, physical therapy, or occupational therapy may earn a CTE completer certificate and other industry recognized credentials (CPR, Stop the Bleed, etc.) as they complete the two-year Health Science Technology program. Students will explore career pathways, participate in real-world trainings, learn medical terminology, and visit a variety of clinical, medical environments as part of this program. Field site, internship and guest expert opportunities allow students to learn from a range of professionals. Develop and apply hands-on skills that prepare you to complete the National Registry of EMT certification examination. Possibility to complete two Early College courses as part of the program:
HST I:
Medical Terminology through Great Bay Community College 3 cr.
HST II:
Emergency Medical Technician through Lakes Region Community College 3 cr.
