Portsmouth Fireworks - Monday, July 3, 2017 - 9:15 p.m.

PORTSMOUTH, NH - The City's annual fireworks display is Monday, July 3, 2017, 9:15 p.m. at the South Mill Pond, located across from Portsmouth City Hall. The rain date is scheduled for Wednesday, July 5th, at the same time.

Portsmouth has a long standing tradition of hosting one of the seacoast areas finest displays of fireworks. This year, the City entered a partnership with Wilcox Industries Corp. to be the main sponsor of the Fourth of July celebration for the next ten years to enable the City to build a broader Independence Day celebration.

Wilcox’s contributions have allowed City staff to develop a program that will include a longer fireworks show this year for the community to enjoy. Additionally, Wilcox will feature musical entertainment, children’s activities, historical reenactments, vendor booths and philanthropic initiatives to benefit local veteran groups and encourage larger community participation throughout the day; these are detailed in their flyer here.
