Ten Piscataqua Painters 2022
January 1 - February 2
Portsmouth Public Library
Ten Piscataqua brings ten outstanding visual artists to the attention of the region’s arts community, one coffee table book at a time. Our region is blessed with an exceptional diversity of talent, and Ten Piscataqua has developed a series of books for folks to discover, explore and support outstanding talent in their own community. Ten Piscataqua Painters will be released at the end of January 2022! Come and see the artists’ work, on exhibit in Portsmouth Public Library’s Levenson Room from January 2 to February 2. Books may be purchased online with free shipping.
About Ten Piscataqua
Ten Piscataqua successfully crowdfunded Ten Piscataqua Photographers, the first in the series of coffee table books, exhibited at the Portsmouth Public Library in 2019. They first reach out to contemporary artists working in the Piscataqua watershed with a Call for Entries, from which 10 artists are selected and invited to collaborate on our next book. Their books represent a diversity of talent they think the community should know about and celebrate. They have no full time employees – instead, they recruit creative professionals from the region to help produce and market the book. Profits are divided between artists, creative professionals working on the production, and the Ten Piscataqua continuity, warehousing, and office space.
