The primary goals of Chair Yoga are to improve your balance and range of motion, and increase strength with safe and effective movements. Chair Yoga is practiced while seated in the chair or standing behind it. It is ideal for people concerned with balance, recovering from an injury or surgery, experiencing limited range of motion and/or who are new to yoga. All attendees will move within their level of ability and variations will be offered for every posture. We will have lots of fun in this class, so come as you are and move as you can!
Sherry Evans, RYT200, has been teaching yoga for 10 years in studios, nursing homes, senior centers, and corporate and private settings. Sherry blends traditional yoga poses with thoughtful variations for any body. Embracing an adventurous spirit, she encourages her students to move within their abilities, breathe deeply and have fun!
