Story Hour with Local Heroes
Meet the folks doing good work around the Seacoast and enjoy literature together!
Wednesday July 17
6:30 – 9 PM
Ever wish you could return to the story times of your childhood? Hungering for some literature to feed your soul? Want to meet inspiring people who make a difference in the community? At this very special story time for ADULTS, enjoy readings by local heroes, including:
- Noor Elsaid, Portsmouth High School’s “Top Reader”
- Ellen Fineberg, Interim Director of Discover Portsmouth
- Russ Grazier, Founder of Portsmouth Music and Arts Center
- Nancy Pearson, Portsmouth City Councilor
- Daniel Pontoh, Community Organizer with ACLU-NH (American Civil Liberties Union of New Hampshire)
Each Local Hero will read a short story of their choosing. Time will be provided at the end for questions and discussion. This event is free, open to all ages 13 and up! Refreshments and air-conditioning will be provided.
