Seacoast Camera Club Exhibit, February 6 - March 3
January 26, 2018
Exhibit: Seacoast Camera Club
Reception: Tuesday February 13, 6 – 8:30 PM
The Seacoast Camera Club's 2018 Print Exhibition will be on display in the Levenson Room of the Portsmouth Public Library from February 6 to March 3. The prints are the work of members of the Seacoast Camera Club, based in Portsmouth, NH.
A reception will be held Tuesday February 13, 6 – 8:30 PM in the Levenson Room. The public is invited to meet the artists, learn more about the club, and enjoy their work. The reception will also feature a talk by photographer Scott Faiia.
Scott Faiia spent 28 years in Asia, nine years in East Africa, three years in the Caribbean and three years in Egypt. His serious interest in photography developed as a means to interact with the diverse people and cultures he encountered in his work. In many ways this interaction, and the possibility of capturing through photography the hope and beauty he encountered, was a counterbalance to the grim realities he grappled with in his relief and development work.
The mission of the Seacoast Camera Club is to serve members by encouraging development of photographic skills through education, by exhibitions of photographic accomplishments, and by friendship with others who share a love of photography. The Club also shares its talents with individuals and organizations in the community.
