Summer Reading Kickoff

The library’s summer reading kickoff is the perfect way to start the season! On Friday June 14, join us in the field next door from 6 to 8 PM. This event is FREE and open to all!
Activities include:
- Bouncy House
- Face Painting
- Story Walk
- Lawn Games
- Obstacle Course
- Reading Dog
- Art Activities
- Popcorn
- Watermelon provided by AFSCME Local Union 1386
All Portsmouth Public Library cardholders are invited to sign up for the Summer Reading Program. This year, we’re offering three programs for youth ages 2 – 18, and now a fourth for ADULTS! You can earn rewards and prizes from June 15 – August 10.
This year’s Summer Program is titled A Universe of Stories, so we’ll be offering outer space programs, events, activities and book recommendations throughout the summer.
Can’t make the kickoff? Sign up at the Youth Services Desk (ages 2 – 18) or the Main Circulation Desk (adults) any time before August 10!
