HOW COLLEGES REALLY CHOOSE STUDENTS
An Inside Look at the College Admissions Process
Tuesday April 16 | 6:30 PM
Speaker: Wendy Thompson, Westport Educational Consulting
High school students and their parents are invited to an informative, interactive, and entertaining presentation to help families understand the role essays, interviews, standardized testing, extracurricular activities, sports, and other factors play in the admissions decisions colleges make.
Wendy served on the admissions staff at Bowdoin College from 2000-2012, where she evaluated thousands of applications. Her college and independent school admissions career spans thirty years. She conducts college planning workshops and has helped students navigate the college search and selection process since 2003.
Portsmouth High School college guidance counselor Shanyn Grenier has helped make this program possible and will be in attendance.
