Center for Wildlife presents “Raptors, Reptiles and Mammals”

Focusing on animals that live in Maine, York based Center for Wildlife will provide an in-depth introduction to the unique differences between raptors, reptiles, and mammals. Do snakes have fur? Do rabbits have scales? Are birds "cold-blooded"? Why do opossums have pouches? How do each of these animal groups adapt to our changing seasons? Using the Center’s amazing non-releasable animal ambassadors and interactive displays, the answers to these and other questions will be revealed. This hour long program will connect the audience with these beautiful ambassadors of their species as well as provide their natural and personal histories and empower audience members to help to steward the environment that we all share.
This is a family educational program recommended for ages five and up. Due to the fact that there will be wild animals present, we ask that all audience members respect the requirements of quiet bodies and quiet voices.
Please note that there is a space limit for this program. The same program is scheduled for two days (July 22 and July 23) to accommodate the large number of audience members that is anticipated. Please choose only one day to attend. This event is free and open to the public. The Levenson Room is wheelchair accessible.
