Parking Citations -- Invalid Reasons for Appeal

The City of Portsmouth is unable to dismiss Parking Citations for any of the following reasons:

Lack of understanding of City of Portsmouth Parking Regulations
Not a City of Portsmouth-issued Citation (City Citations are Blue in color)
Didn’t see the sign
The meter was broken
I was just there for a short time
Time constraints (only a minute late)
Lack of funds
The fine is too much
Lack of convenient parking space
Lack of legal parking space
No one else got a Citation
I didn’t intend to do it
I had my flashers on
Never received a Citation for this before
Late for an appointment
Obstructing traffic or a crosswalk -- this is a violation even the obstruction is only partial
