City of Portsmouth Announces Event Parking & Free Shuttle for Sail Portsmouth

Sail Portsmouth welcomes a parade of tall ships and flotilla of other vessels to Portsmouth on Thursday, July 27 starting at 6:15 pm. Two of the tall ships will then be open for ticketed public tours on Friday, July 28 through Monday July 31, between 10 am and 5 pm, at the Portsmouth Commercial Fish Pier, at 1 Peirce Island Road, across from Prescott Park. PARKING – ADA-accessible public parking is available at the Hanover Garage, the Foundry Garage and at Little Harbour School. The small parking lot at Prescott Park (closest to Memorial Bridge) is reserved completely for ADA-accessible (handicapped) parking. All parking is first come, first serve. There will be no parking at Peirce Island, the boat ramp, or on Four Tree Island for the Sail Portsmouth event.  

FREE SHUTTLE – Three ADA-equipped shuttles will run a free 20-minute loop between the parking garages and the Fish Pier, from 9:30 am - 5:30 pm on July 28, 29, 30 and 31. Please note: There will be a 1.5-hour period each day when only two shuttles are operating to allow the drivers to take their lunch breaks. At those times there may be a longer wait for service.
