Registration Now Open for Downtown Employee Parking Permit Program

PORTSMOUTH, NH – The City of Portsmouth Parking Clerk Office is now accepting registrations for the 2019-2020 Downtown Employee Parking Permit Program. The monthly permit allow employees who work in Portsmouth’s downtown area to park at the Isles of Shoals Steamship Co. parking lot on Market Street Extension, where 51 spaces are available from Nov. 1, 2019 to April 30, 2020.  Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis at the Parking Clerk’s office at 1 Junkins Ave. in Portsmouth City Hall.

Permits cost $25 per month and must be renewed monthly. Applicants must present a current pay stub each month to confirm employment at a downtown business in order to retain the parking permit.

Parking Clerk office hours are: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Mondays; 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday; and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fridays.
