Science

Students are enrolled in a variety of science courses including Chemistry, Ecology, Biology and Physics.  Students practice the habits of a scientist while completing hands-on investigations and conducting original research.  Biology and Ecology students are planning, planting and maintaining our raised bed gardens, tapping our maple trees to make maple syrup, ​and designing a classroom aquaponics system.  Physics students are learning about projectile motion by engineering, testing, and re-designing model siege engines.  Chemistry students have recently fund-raised money for Forensic science materials including a controlled drug and heavy metal poisoning investigation kit.  All students complete competencies based upon the Next Generation Science Standards.
