City Manager Confirms Woodland as Deputy City Manager

City Manager Karen Conard is pleased to announce that after six months serving as Acting Deputy City Manager, Suzanne Woodland is confirmed as Deputy City Manager as well as continuing to serve as Deputy City Attorney.

In making the announcement, City Manager Conard said, “For the past six months, Attorney Woodland has juggled her responsibilities in both the Legal and City management roles, providing able and effective service to both departments and to the community. There is probably no other person in the City better able to create the needed synthesis that comes from understanding both the operation of city government and the legal environment in which the city has to operate than Suzanne. She knows and is respected by her colleagues in all of the City departments, in her profession, and in the community. I know she will continue to be of tremendous assistance and counsel to me.”

A long-tenured member of the City’s Legal Department, Suzanne was named Acting Deputy City Manager in August 2021.
