City Announces Labor Day Holiday Closures for September 2, 2024

Labor Day is Monday, September 2, 2024.

City Hall and other City offices are closed.

The City Council meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at 7 pm.

Holiday hours for other City facilities and services as follows:

• Trash/Recycling: Monday trash and recycling collection combined with Tuesday. No yard waste collection. The Recycling Center is closed, as always on Mondays.
• Portsmouth Public Library closed Saturday Aug 31, Sunday Sep 1 and Monday Sep 2.
• Recreation Department facilities including Community Campus, Connie Bean Center, Senior Activity Center and Spinnaker Point Recreation Center: All facilities closed.
• The Portsmouth Outdoor Pool is now closed for the season. The Indoor Pool reopens for the season on Tuesday, Sep 3.
• On-street parking: enforcement holiday

Additionally, there is no construction work planned on Labor Day.
