Joint Statement from the City of Portsmouth and Redgate/Kane (SoBow Square, LLC)

The City Council and Redgate/Kane both want a redevelopment of the McIntyre Building that will create lasting and significant benefits for the City and its residents.

To that end, Redgate/Kane will be suspending its lawsuit while the City Council and Redgate/Kane reengage in earnest in good faith negotiations to attempt to move the project ahead.

Both sides commit to their public/private partnership under the existing Development Agreement and to working in good faith toward reaching agreement on the best possible project.

The City Council and Redgate/Kane agree that in these unprecedented and uncertain times this is the best path forward.
