City Offices closed in observance of Independence Day

July 4th - July 5th

In observance of Independence Day, Portsmouth City Hall, the Library, Department of Public Works, Senior Activity Center and Connie Bean Center will be closed on Thursday, July 4th.  The Library will close early, at 5 p.m., on July 3rd.  On Friday, July 5th, City Hall will remain closed.

Curbside collection will not occur on Independence Day; those with scheduled curbside collection on Thursday will have pickup on Wednesday, July 3rd.  Yard waste collection has been cancelled for Thursday and Friday.

The City's annual fireworks display is Wednesday, July 3rd at 9:15 p.m. at the South Mill Pond, located across from Portsmouth City Hall. The rain date is scheduled for Friday, July 5th, at the same time.
