Portsmouth DPW Snow Load-out Operations Scheduled for Tues Night February 1
January 31, 2022
City of Portsmouth Department of Public Works crews will conduct snow load out operations to clear street and improve safety following the weekend blizzard. The load-out operations start Tuesday, February 1 at 7:30 pm in Area 1, 9:30 pm in Area 2 and 12:30 am in Area 3. The work is expected to be completed by 8 am on Tuesday, February 2.
Therefore, all vehicles must be removed off downtown City streets prior to those Area times as displayed on the map below. Residents are encouraged to take advantage of resident snow parking ban rates between 5:30 pm on Tuesday and 8 am on Wednesday in the Foundry ($3) and Hanover Garages ($5). To qualify for the rate, residents must enter the garage after 5:30pm, and (upon exit) show a valid driver's license or vehicle registration with a Portsmouth address to the booth attendant. Because the Ban is scheduled to end at 8am, garage users will have until 10am to retrieve their vehicle before regular parking rates resume.
For more information and to receive text and/or email notices in advance, when a snow parking ban is declared, and when it is lifted, visit the Snow Impacts page on the City website. The Snow Phone Hotline is 603.766.7669 and notices are also posted on Channel 22 and City social media accounts.
