SIGN UP FOR SMART911 NOTIFICATIONS
The Portsmouth Police Department has adopted an SMART911 as the Citywide emergency messaging system. It is used for emergency alerts and notices such as severe weather, emergency situations, and snow parking bans.
Anyone can subscribe to receive alerts and notices by text, email, and voicemail (including TDD). Individuals can unsubscribe at any time.
Smart911 is also tied to the existing Police Department 911 system that gives the Police and Fire Departments information about residents’ addresses and such medical conditions or needs that are often recorded with emergency services and utilities.
