Arrest of Amy Cresta

On today’s date, the following individual turned herself in to the Portsmouth Police:

Amy Cresta

Age 45

From South Berwick, ME

Charges:

Fraudulent use of a Credit Card (3 counts)

Forgery (1 count)

Identity Fraud (1 count)

Based on an investigation that commenced in July of this year, it’s alleged that Cresta was hired as an in-home care taker for a handicapped woman. It was determined that Cresta had exercised unauthorized control over the victim’s credit card and used it at various locations around the city.

Cresta was released on Personal Recognizance bail with a court date of October 18th at 8:30 in the Rockingham County Superior Court.
