Vice President Visit - Traffic and Parking Notice

   On Monday, February 10th, Vice President Pence will be at an event at the Portsmouth Sheraton on Market Street. As a result there will be an impact to both traffic and parking in the vicinity of the Sheraton to include Market Street, Deer Street, Russell Street and Green Street.

   The following will be in effect;

            1) No parking on Market Street (either side) between Deer Street and Russell Street

            2) No parking on Russell Street (either side) from Deer Street to Market Street

            3) There will be limited parking on Deer Street

            4) Market Street between Deer Street and Russell Street will be closed to both vehicular and pedestrian traffic from 10:00AM to 4:00 PM

            The Isle of Shoals parking lot will be closed during these hours. Those holding parking passes for that lot are welcome to park at the Foundry Parking garage on Bridge Street at no charge. Please display your parking tag.

            Portsmouth Public Works and the Parking Division will be using signboards and other visible NO PARKING notices in applicable areas to notify the public of parking restrictions.

            The traffic impacts of this event are expected to be from Monday morning until 4:00 PM. Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes.
