City Opens McIntyre Building Lot for Public Parking

December 7, 2021

As part of the continuing process to acquire the McIntyre Building, the US Government General Services Administration has given the City permission to use the parking lot behind the building, on the corner of Penhallow and Bow Streets, for public parking.

The McIntyre lot is now open for public parking. ParkPortsmouth has now equipped the lot with a parking kiosk and activated the address in the ParkMobile app to collect parking fees there. The McIntyre Lot is part of the A zone in downtown Portsmouth, permitting 3-hours of parking for the $2 per hour rate. ParkMobile allows users to continue to park in the same space after three hours at $5 per hour.
