Audit Committee

The Audit Committee was initially established by municipal ordinance, Chapter 1, Section 1.410 in September of 2021 consisting of five members, two of whom were City Councilors.  In October of 2022, the ordinance was amended to expand the audit committee to six members, three of whom would be sitting City Councilors and whose Chair would be a City Councilor.  The duties and powers of the committee are described as follows: “The audit committee’s primary role is to recommend an external auditor to the City Council.  In the event the auditor identifies any serious exceptions, the Audit Committee shall and work with the City Council as to next steps.”

The current members of the Committee are:
