2022 Halloween Festivities in Portsmouth

The City of Portsmouth Recreation Department has several family events and activities scheduled to celebrate the fall season and Halloween, all leading up to the City’s Halloween trick-or-treat hours (4-7 pm on Sunday, October 30, 2022). Go to details on all the events.
Events and activities include:
October 10-22: Virtual Pumpkin Decorating Contest: Residents are invited to show off their jack o’lantern masterpieces to win a prize from local businesses. To enter, simply review the contest rules, decorate a real pumpkin and submit a digital photo of the entry by 12 noon on Saturday, October 22, 2022. Online Pumpkin Decorating Voting begins on Monday, October 24th and finalists will be announced on Friday, October 28th on the Recreation Department Facebook page. Monday, October 24: Portsmouth Night at Coppal House Farm Corn Maze. Residents can take advantage of a special admission price for the maze and then enjoy s’mores around the bonfire. Transportation is not provided. $5 per person. Registration required in advance.
Tuesday, October 25 & Thursday, October 27: Spooky Story Walk at the Community Campus
Wednesday, October 26: Halloween Craft Night
Saturday, October 29: 11 am – 2 pm: Second Annual Fall Family Fun Fest at the Athletic Field near the Community Campus, with live entertainment, games, food, “Touch A Truck,” petting zoo and crafts. Costumes encouraged! Free admission.
The Portsmouth Police Department reminds everyone to watch out for trick-or-treaters and traffic in the roads. Parking restrictions for the Portsmouth Halloween Parade will be in place on Monday, October 31, 2022, 5-10 pm.
