Lieutenant Promotion

On Friday, February 19, 2021, the Board of Police Commissioners voted unanimously to promote Sergeant Jon Aubin to the rank of Lieutenant assigned to the Patrol Division.

Lt. Aubin is currently serving his 26th year in Law Enforcement. From 1995-1999, Jon served as a patrolman, and later a detective, with the Rochester Police Department. He joined the Portsmouth Police Department in 1999 and spent ten years as a patrolman before being promoted to a Sergeant in 2009. He was assigned to the Patrol Division until 2018, at which time he was transferred to the Investigative Division as a Detective Sergeant for the past two and a half years.

Lt. Aubin has also served in the following assignments throughout his career at the Portsmouth Police Department: K9 Supervisor, the Seacoast Emergency Response Team, the Crime Scene Team and was a member of the Response to Resistance Committee, to name a few. 

A graduate of the University of New Hampshire, Jon earned his Bachelor of Arts degree. He currently lives in the Seacoast area with his wife and three children.
